What Is a Luxury Companion?

By the Moulin Blanc editors ·

The phrase “luxury companion” is used in many ways online. At its best it describes something simple and rather old-fashioned: a woman whose company makes an occasion better — a dinner, an event, a trip — and who is chosen for her presence and conversation as much as for her looks.

A companion, not a performance

A good companion does not perform. She is curious about the person across the table, follows a conversation where it goes, and is comfortable in the room she has been invited into, whether it is a Michelin-starred dining room, a gala or a beach club. The best evenings are the ones that do not feel arranged at all.

What makes companionship “luxury”

  • Presentation. She is dressed and prepared for the setting — black tie, cocktail, resort.
  • Conversation. She is well read, follows the news, often speaks several languages.
  • Ease. She is at home in refined places and with people she has just met.
  • Discretion. What is said at the table stays there.
  • Arrangement. The details — time, place, travel — are agreed in advance, so the evening can simply be enjoyed.

Luxury, VIP, elite, high class

These words are often used interchangeably. At Moulin Blanc, Elite companions have open profiles, while VIP companions meet fewer people and show their full profiles to members only. High class companionship describes the standard we expect of both.

Occasions

Most introductions begin with a dinner. Others are built around an event, a trip or a business evening. See how an introduction is arranged.
